Hundreds of Pennsylvania dairy farmers rallied in the state capitol Tuesday to ask for support of federal efforts to recognize the value and health properties of whole milk, and the importance whole milk plays in children’s physical growth. Chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, Rep. Martin Causer (R-McKean, Potter, Cameron) announced his committee’s unanimous support for House Resolution 222, sponsored by Rep. John Lawrence (R-Chester/Lancaster), that would urge the U.S. Department of Agriculture to enforce the standard of identity for milk and milk products; and House Resolution 402, sponsored by Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana), that would recognize the value of whole milk and support federal legislation to ensure whole milk would again be available in schools.

Rep. Mike Jones (R-York) holds an interview with Ashley Garecht – the mother of teen girls involved in a recent incident with State Rep. Brian Sims (D-Philadelphia) while praying outside of a Planned Parenthood location. Garecht was in Harrisburg to support a resolution to censure Rep. Sims for his behavior in calling for the doxing of people who were exercising their constitutional rights.

Bernstine's Parity in Interscholastic Athletics Act, would create separate brackets for high school sports playoffs. Rep. House Speaker Mike Turzai(R-Allegheny) was joined by a group of lawmakers in Susquehanna County on Friday to promote House Bill 1103, designed to make natural gas equally available to manufacturers throughout the Commonwealth. The bill is part of the Energize PA package of legislation, crafted to boost the impact of natural gas being extracted from wells in Pennsylvania in both the energy production and manufacturing sectors.
