Lawmakers to Unveil Plan to Save PA from Certain Default

WHAT: Reps. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) and Seth Grove (R-York) will hold a news conference at the Capitol tomorrow to announce an aggressive plan to improve Pennsylvania’s financial condition before it joins other state governments on the path to financial default. Ryan, a certified public accountant, and Grove are active members of the Commonsense Caucus, a group of Republican legislators credited with scrutinizing the annual state budget and uncovering millions of dollars in needless or wasteful spending. Ryan believes if Pennsylvania continues on its present course, it will face certain default within the next 12 years.
