Metcalfe, ERE Committee to Examine Proposed Price Rule’s Potential to Sustain Competitive and Reliable Energy Markets
WHAT: PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene an informational meeting to determine if PJM Interconnection’s, America’s largest power grid operator, proposed Minimum Offer Price Rule (MOPR) would adequately maintain competitive and reliable energy markets.
WHO: The meeting will feature presentations from Dr. Joseph Bowring, president, Monitoring Analytics and independent market monitor for PJM; Gladys Brown Dutrieuille, chairman, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission; Asim Haque, vice president, state and member services, PJM Interconnection; Kevin Sunday, director of government affairs, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry; and Glen Thomas, president, PJM Power Providers Group (P3 Group).
