York County House Members to Honor Desert Storm, Desert Shield Veterans
HARRISBURG – Members of the York County state House delegation are organizing a ceremony to honor veterans of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. In preparation for the event, the group is seeking the names of men and women from York County who served our country in either or both of these conflicts.
“We will be sending out formal invitations to the ceremony, which will be an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to these heroes for all they have done for us,” said the delegation members. “If you or someone you know served in either Operation Desert Storm or Desert Shield, please contact your state representative’s office as soon as possible to let us know the veteran’s name.”
The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, at the York Fairgrounds. Veterans of Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield, or members of their families, should call one of the following numbers:
