Christiana and Marshall Praise Passage of Responsible Budget to End the Impasse
HARRISBURG– Reps. Jim Christiana(R-Beaver/Washington) and Jim Marshall (R-Beaver/Butler) issued the following statement after the Senate voted to join the House in bringing an end to the state’s budget impasse:
“This evening, we were pleased to witness, first-hand from the Senate gallery, a bi-partisan vote for a responsible budget, which should end this unacceptable and disappointing budget impasse once and for all.
“We are thankful that the Senate came to the realization that Pennsylvanians cannot afford to send more of their hard-earned money to Harrisburg.
“Now with a final budget on his desk, the end of the budget impasse lies in the hands of Gov. Wolf. We urge him to sign this responsible plan as soon as possible. The agencies and schools that serve our communities need funding now.”
