3/6/2023
HARRISBURG – Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) has been named to the House Appropriations Committee, which crafts the state budget each year.

“Thomas is a thoughtful legislator who brings valuable experience to the Appropriations Committee. I look forward to his participation with the Appropriations Committee as we work to enact a responsible budget,” Committee Chairman Seth Grove (R-York) said.

The House Appropriations Committee is one of the most influential committees in the General Assembly. The committee oversees state fiscal policy and spending, and evaluates state agency requests to arrive at a budget proposal each year.

“I’m grateful for this appointment at such a crucial time for our Commonwealth,” Kutz said. “I look forward to working with my fellow legislators to advocate for a thoughtful and fiscally responsible spending plan that addresses major issues impacting our Commonwealth and moves Pennsylvania forward.”

The 87th District, which Kutz represents, includes Silver Spring, Monroe, South Middleton, Upper Allen and Lower Allen townships as well as Mount Holly Springs Borough.
