During a budget hearing with the presidents of state-related universities, we discussed their funding requests. When asked if they would freeze the cost of tuition if they received their requests, they all said no. We need to strike a balance between investing taxpayer dollars in these institutions and adding value to the education system, while making sure students don't get hit with a tuition increase on the back end.
