During a meeting of the House Human Services Committee on April 6, 2021, Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) spoke in support of his legislation to require drug recovery houses to inform emergency contacts should a resident leave due to eviction or on their own. House Bill 741 was unanimously approved by the committee and sent to the full House of Representatives for consideration. Before the vote, Heffley explained why his bill is also known as "Justin's Law."
