On July 29, I attended a Policy Committee hearing about workforce development and the child care industry. Reps. Joe Hogan (R-142) and Shelby Labs (R-143) unveiled legislation that would create a pilot program and pipeline to develop the next generation of early education teachers. We must continue working on commonsense reforms that fight the child care worker shortage and make it more affordable for families.
