House Passes HB 407

Recently the House passed House Bill 407. This legislation creates the criminal offense of unauthorized location tracking through the use of electronic tracking devices. I was proud to introduce an amendment to this legislation which would require that the cost for removal of these electronic tracking devices be the responsibility of the defendant not the victim. My amendment to House Bill 407 passed the House unanimously.

Setting a Timeline for the Department of Revenue

If you’re a senior or a person with a disability in Pennsylvania, you may be eligible to receive up to $1,000 in property tax or rent rebates. The program is a lifeline to many, but often we hear stories of those applying for the program having their paperwork seem to get stuck in administrative gridlock and having to wait months to receive their checks. That’s why I proposed an amendment to House Bill 325, which would require the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue to process property tax/rent rebate applications within 10 days.
