Job and Government Services Spotlight: Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC

At my recent Job and Government Services Fair, I had a chat with Kevin DiGuiseppe from the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC about workforce development initiatives like Clean Slate. In 2018, Pennsylvania became the first-ever Clean Slate state when the bill I offered became law. This enhanced employment and housing opportunities for individuals who’ve earned a second chance. Last year, Clean Slate was expanded to include certain low-level, nonviolent felony drug crimes. So, individuals who’ve gone 10 years or more without reoffending can also access those important personal and economic opportunities. It was great to hear from the chamber about how this legislation will impact our local economy.
