I recently hosted a Job and Government Services Fair for constituents of the 88th Legislative District. During the fair, I had the opportunity to chat with local employers and government service providers to learn more about their workforce needs. It was great to highlight Melisa Hiler with Avon, who is looking to expand her team. Watch the video to learn more about opportunities through Avon, which has been in business for 138 years!

Elections Must Be Free and Fair
Mar. 27, 2024 / Embed
An audit of the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors (SURE) system conducted five years ago unveiled a host of issues. A vendor was hired in 2022 to work on those problems; however, the vendor contract was sold a week later to another company and no work has since been done to correct the reported issues. According to Department of State Secretary Al Schmidt, a new vendor will be hired this summer and then the updates will begin. The Department of State (DOS) needs to correct these issues with SURE before the 2024 General Election.
The secretary's answers to my questions about the SURE system updates do not inspire confidence about this upcoming election.
