WHAT: The House Labor and Industry Committee, led by Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin), will hold a public hearing on House Bill 18, sponsored by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks), which focuses on a drug formulary for the Worker’s Compensation Program to help reduce instances of opioid abuse.

WHO: Kauffman, Mackenzie and other members of the committee. Testifiers will include Samuel Marshall, president, PA Insurance Federation; Jeffrey Jacobs, MD, fellow, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine; Michael Vovakes, deputy secretary for compensation and insurance, Department of Labor and Industry; Joseph Huttemann, PA Association for Justice; Carlos Luna, director of government affairs, Reed Group; Kenneth Eichler, vice president, Work Loss Data Institute; and Aaron Turner-Phifer, director of government relations, URAC.

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
