HARRISBURG – Rep. Hal English (Allegheny County) issued the following statement today:
“I want to thank the residents of Shaler, Hampton, Richland, Fox Chapel and O’Hara for the privilege of serving as their state representative in Harrisburg for the last six years to help maintain and improve our wonderful communities.
“I have learned so much and enjoy working with so many good people with diverse ideas, goals, beliefs and attitudes. Most seek the same – a better Commonwealth and improvement in their area of the state.
“During my time in office, I have tried to conduct myself as a statesman, like my predecessor Sen. Randy Vulakovich, while listening, learning, and applying facts, logic and compassion.
“Today, I want to inform you that I am withdrawing from the November ballot to devote time to my family and my elder law practice.
“Thank you.”
