WHAT: Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, will lead the committee in a voting meeting on the following legislation:

House Bill 1003 would extend the date for the validation of conveyances and other instruments dated prior to 2020, which have acknowledgments containing technical errors.
House Bill 1255 would state that an action to recover damages against a real estate appraiser arising from his/her appraisal shall be brought within one year from a person’s discovery of the act or omission giving rise to the action, but in no event shall an action be brought more than five years after the date the appraisal was conducted.
House Bill 1587 would make changes relating to the pretrial detention of repeat violent offenders and impose certain mandatory minimum sentences relating to repeat violent offenders.
House Bill 1590 would make sentencing guidelines presumptive for certain offenses involving firearms.
House Resolution 111 would direct the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing to conduct a study on the handling of violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA) cases across the state.
