WHAT: PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene a public hearing to receive expert testimony on the potentially negative economic impacts of the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) proposed biosolids management permitting revisions.
WHO: The hearing will feature presentations from Christine Volkay-Hilditch, deputy director of public works – utilities, City of Lancaster; Michael Kyle executive director, Lancaster Area Sewer Authority; Ned Lang, president, Pennsylvania Septage Management Association; William Toffey, executive director, Mid-Atlantic Biosolids Association; and John Uzupis, technical services, Synagro.
