HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Northampton/Montgomery) today announced that she has been appointed to serve on three House committees during the 2023-24 Legislative Session.
“I am delighted to report my assignment to these House committees: Children and Youth, Education and Human Services,” said Mackenzie. “I am excited to continue effectively serving the needs of the Commonwealth and the interests of the 131st Legislative District through my committee assignments.”
The House Children and Youth Committee assists with legislative issues including domestic relations, child abuse and neglect, dependency and childcare.
The House Education Committee primarily assists with education issues, including legislation and policy development across the entire educational spectrum, both public and private, encompassing K-12 basic education, as well as higher education.
Lastly, the House Human Services Committee addresses policy development surrounding mental health, drug and alcohol abuse and the Department of Human Services.
