HARRISBURG—Rep. Martina White (R-Philadelphia) released the following statement after crowds attacked police in their vehicles Sunday in Philadelphia:
“The attacks on our law enforcement officers over this weekend were despicable and should never be tolerated in the city of Philadelphia or anywhere in this Commonwealth.
“I want the city, the mayor, the police commissioner and our law enforcement officers to know I will gladly advocate for state resources necessary to assist with the prevention of these acts and the capture of those who committed them.
“Law-abiding citizens are sick of these criminals walking our streets and acting without fear of punishment. It is time for criminals in Philadelphia to once again understand that if you commit criminal acts you will be caught, you will be prosecuted and you will have the full force of our justice system brought down upon you. This type of lawlessness must end and the time for peace and justice is now.”
