Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), is co-sponsor of four measures that would: create a legislative commission to recommend improvements in underserved areas; audit the compliance of telecommunication carriers; examine the Department of Education’s E-Fund program; and inventory the facilities and assets of state agencies that could be used to help bring broad-band internet to unserved areas. Phillips-Hill said these measures are designed to help Pennsylvania live up to past promises to provide high speed internet access for the state’s large rural population.
