YORK – A former feed mill in York County, once used as a prop for Gov. Tom Wolf’s severance tax tour, is being torn down despite the absence of a severance tax on Pennsylvania’s natural gas consumers. To date, York County has received nearly $3.5 million dollars, including more than $378,000 it received today, in impact fees from taxes on unconventional gas wells in Pennsylvania despite there not being a well in the county.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) today announced that the governor has signed his bill, House Bill 1003, which strengthens the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s (PFBC) ability to enforce the marking of low head or run-of-the-river dams. The bill was signed into law as Act 39 of 2020.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Matthew Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) is calling on Gov. Tom Wolf to sign a bill he drafted that would authorize a land swap between the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Ohiopyle Borough to increase water access for Ohiopyle State Park.
