Fritz’s Government Reform Legislation Signed into Law

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) announced today that the governor signed his legislation, House Bill 57, which would eliminate outdated boards and commissions, into law. The law will take effect in 60 days.

Struzzi Seeks to Protect Those Who Cannot Protect Themselves in Response to Local Incident

HARRISBURG – In response to an incident on the Hoodlebug Trail this summer, Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana) today announced that he has introduced legislation that would charge any individual who intentionally causes bodily injury to a person with a physical or intellectual disability with aggravated assault, a felony of the second degree. Currently, the law dictates that “serious bodily injury” is necessary for charges to be elevated beyond misdemeanor simple assault.

House Bill 1880 would remove the requirement for last names to be displayed on health care employees’ identification badges.
