Unused facilities owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania would be evaluated for potential reuse as addiction treatment centers under an initiative spearheaded by Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair). Gregory is the prime sponsor of House Resolution 147, which calls for the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a comprehensive review of unused properties and how to repurpose them for addiction treatment and recovery support. The House unanimously passed the resolution Wednesday.
