Rep. Cutler Comments on House Passage of Organ Donation Bill

Legislation designed to boost organ donation by educating the public about the benefits and procedures associated with donation has been approved by the Pennsylvania House and now heads to the Governor’s desk. House Majority Whip Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) said Senate Bill 180 would allow donors and their families to better understand the organ donation process, and also increases the check-off donation when Pennsylvanians renew their driver licenses.

House Approves Organ Donation Legislation

Legislation designed to boost organ donation by educating the public about the benefits and procedures associated with donation has been approved by the Pennsylvania House and now heads to the Governor’s desk. Rep. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), said Senate Bill 180 would explain the process of organ donation, so that donors and their families will be more comfortable volunteering for the program.

House Approves Nesbit DNA Legislation

Legislation designed to allow law enforcement agencies to take advantage of technological advances in DNA testing has been approved by the Pennsylvania House. Rep. Tedd Nesbit (R-Mercer & Butler), prime sponsor of House Bills 2307 and 2308, said his legislation will help exonerate those who have been falsely convicted, and help law enforcement match convicted criminals with other crimes that have been committed.
